Who is responsible
CueProof is an independent UK beta service and the controller of information used to run this service. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@cueproof.com.
Information we use
We use your email address and sign-in information, your dog profiles, plans, behaviours, training records, reflections and preferences. We also receive information you send when asking for support.
Technical information helps us operate the service: browser and device information, page and feature usage, performance measurements and error reports. We record setup milestones and the days you open a behaviour's Review or History, linked to your account, to understand whether the beta is useful.
Please avoid putting information about other people or sensitive personal information in training notes. Location is an optional description you enter; you do not need to provide a home address.
Why we use it
We use account and training information to provide the service you request, including sign-in, saving your work, displaying your history and handling account requests. Our lawful basis is performing our agreement with you.
We use limited diagnostic and usage information for our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure, fixing faults and improving the beta. We consider your privacy when doing this. We do not sell your data, use training notes for advertising, or make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you automatically.
Service providers and sharing
Your training records are private to your account. Providers process information on our behalf to deliver hosting, database storage, sign-in email, security and measurement. These include Supabase for the database and authentication, and Vercel for usage and performance measurement. This processing is needed to operate the service; it is separate from any export you choose to share.
Providers may process information outside the UK. Where a transfer requires safeguards, we use an applicable adequacy arrangement or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for details about providers and transfers. We may also disclose information where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and training records while you use CueProof. We review beta accounts after 12 months without activity. Before deleting an inactive account, we email you and allow at least 30 days to return, export your data or ask us to keep it.
Detailed review activity is kept for up to 90 days. Our retention policy for diagnostic logs is 30 days and for support correspondence is 12 months after the request is closed, unless a specific security incident, dispute or legal obligation requires longer retention.
You can delete your account sooner in Settings. Deleted information may remain in restricted backups until those backups expire under the provider's backup schedule; it is not used for ordinary operation. Contact us for the applicable backup retention details.
Cookies and your browser
Sign-in cookies are needed to keep you signed in. Your browser also stores preferences such as the active dog, display settings and dismissed prompts. The installed app caches static assets; saving and retrieving training records requires an internet connection.
Your choices and rights
Settings includes data export and account deletion. If an export is limited or you need a fuller copy, contact us. You can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your personal information, request portability where applicable, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights depend on the circumstances. We may need to verify your identity.
Email hello@cueproof.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this notice
We update this page as the beta changes and give notice of material changes affecting your information.
